How I Bettered the Experience with Key Insights
Proximity Requirement:
"How close do I have to be?"
Initial Design before User Insights

A user could click on a "TipTaper" no matter how far away they were on the map.

Design Improvement

To establish better security measures, a user must be within a .5 mile proximity of a "TipTaper" in order to view and tip them.

Profiles:
Get to know a user better!
Design before User Insights

The only thing a viewer would see was
the selected TipTaper's avatar.

Design Improvement

Now, a viewer can better 'get to know' a TipTaper by scrolling through a carousel of uploadable video and imagery— with integrations of TikTok and social profiles.
Outcomes & Learnings
I designed this socially driven user experience from lo to hi-fi, utilizing the UX approaches of design thinking to transform and modernize outdated cash-tipping processes by incorporating technologies like digital wallets and mobile payment experiences.
The final course of my Google UX Design x Coursera certificate program, I spearheaded the design process from beginning to end: empathizing with users, defining their pain points, coming up with ideas for design solutions, creating wireframes and prototypes, and testing designs to get feedback.
By the end of this course, I had completed hands-on activities simulating real-world UX design scenarios, equipping me with the knowledge and skills for entry-level jobs as a UX designer.
Finally, this project allowed me to leverage my creative problem-solving skills and showcase my eye for captivating UI whilst exploring motion design integrated into technology, thus challenging me to push my abilities further as a designer.
